Poppy Seed Mix

A beautiful mix for both the flower garden and the dried garden.

These poppy seeds were gathered right here at Whitewater Creek Farm from poppies grown in our Southern garden. Each packet contains a mix of Pink Peony Poppy and traditional breadseed-type poppies, loved for their beautiful blooms and large, distinctive seed heads.

The flowers bring that wonderfully old-fashioned, cottage-garden look to the spring garden, but their beauty doesn’t end when the petals fall. Allow the seed pods to mature and dry on the plant and harvest them for fall and winter arrangements, wreaths and dried flower projects.

Poppies also readily reseed when allowed to drop their mature seed, or you can collect the pods and save seed to plant again the following season.

Each packet contains:
• Pink Peony Poppy + breadseed-type poppy mix
• Approximately ¼ teaspoon of seed — 500+ seeds
• Farm-grown and gathered at Whitewater Creek Farm
• Beautiful flowers followed by decorative seed pods
• Excellent for dried arrangements and seed saving

Planting note: Poppies prefer to be direct sown. Scatter the tiny seeds over prepared soil and press gently into the surface rather than burying deeply.
